RoboDawgs Install First 3D Printer

Last month the RoboDawgs went online to raise money for a 3D printer. The team’s MakerBot printer arrived yesterday, and today the team’s CAD group met to try it out. Starting first with small, simple objects the team printed miniature traffic cones and a mount for a GoPro Hero camera. Led by experienced RoboDawg fabricators Clark Fischer and Mike Hepfer, thus year’s CAD group began moving forward with more complex custom parts designed in Solidworks. Watch for more updates on our blog as the team makes interesting new things.
