High Altitude Balloon looking down on Earth

Balloon reaches approximately 130,000ft before returning payload to earth

The RoboDawgs did, indeed, set a new height and distance record for the team’s high altitude weather balloon launches. This one, launched December 28th and recovered on December 30, 2013 hit an estimated height of 130,000ft. The balloon traveled just under 450 miles “as the crow flies”, and it was recovered by friends of the team from New York state. Thank you to Christine, Daniel, Cristel, Kyanna, Shawn, Bree, and Maelyn for all their help tracking down and sending back our balloon payload! See their note below – and thanks for joining us on thie adventure!
