RoboDawg Lego Day Camps Are Fun

Grandville High School

Students compete (and parents watch) end of camp competition

The RoboDawgs continued their summer Lego day camps this week, hosting fifteen 4th through 6th grade students. This week’s camp was just one of several week-long Lego camps held at the Grandville Robotics & Engineering Center on the south campus of Grandville High School. Campers spent the week building robots based on the Lego NXT platform, including competitive robots utilizing ultrasonic distance, light, and touch sensors. The final camp challenge, shown in the photo above? Trying to program your robot to autonomously pop as many balloons as possible on the 8’x8′ field.
