Grandville Robotics Center Improvements Nearing Completion

Grandville RoboDawgs

The main room at the Robotics & Engineering Center has been clear and will get new carpet this week!

The final RoboDawgs camp of the summer is underway, and improvements are wrapping up at the Grandville Robotics & Engineering Center! New carpet is going down in the main room. The heating system is getting overhauled to better balance airflow in the building and reduce heating costs. Sound abatement projects are underway, with work continuing to reduce the noise levels in several rooms of the building.

On the equipment front, the CNC machine is getting a round of preventative maintenance. A local company has donated a Bridgeport mill, and we’ve begun the process of getting it set in place, wired, and prepared for the team’s use this fall. The 3D printers have accumulated nearly 1,000 hours, and they’re being rebuilt next week.
