Three Grandville teams survived six hours of play to claim Tournament Champion trophies

Forty-four teams came to the 2014 West Michigan Holiday VEX Tournament

Grandville hosted the 2014 West Michigan Holiday VEX Tournament over the weekend, and the event was packed! Forty-four teams came from all over Michigan to play, making this the largest 2014 VEX event in Michigan. The RoboDawgs put up the holiday lights and put on music from the season as teams played in more than sixty seeding rounds throughout the morning and early afternoon. Congratulations to the award winners from Saturday’s event – all are listed below. Six of these teams will move on to the VEX State Championship, t be held on February 22, 2015 at Michigan State University. The Tournament Champions move on to the State event, as do both the high school and middle school Excellence Award winners – and the Design Award winner.

VEX Robotics continues to grow around the world and in Michigan – and over the last two years VEX has grown to be the largest middle school and high school robotics competition in the world.
