This weekend the Grandville High School RoboDawgs put on their annual robot showcase at Rivertown Crossings Mall. This event, which draws 5,000 – 8,000 visitors each year, will give the community a chance to see the depth of the RoboDawg program. Robots will be on display and additional activities will be going on all day Saturday and Sunday.
One Saturday, the West Michigan VEX Robotics League will play a league event at the mall from 9am – noon. More than 30 area robotics teams will come out and play in the 2015 “Nothing But Net” challenge.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday, the RoboDawgs will show off a variety of competitive robots, including robots that have played at the VEX Robotics Competition and FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships. They will share several of their autonomous quadcopters and underwater rovers. Autonomous racing boats from the last six years will be on display, as will capsules from nearly a dozen high altitude space balloon launches. The team will demonstrate 3D printing technology used to produce robot parts made of plastic, nylon, carbon fiber, Kevlar, and fiberglass.
Come visit the RoboDawgs this weekend at the Rivertown Crossings Mall in Grandville.
