US Ambassador visits RoboDawgs at Calgary event

The Grandville High School RoboDawgs are in Calgary, competing at the FIRST Robotics Western Canadian Regional tournament.  The US Ambassador to Canada, Bruce Heyman came by to  talk with the team.  He was joined by Dr. Elizabeth Cannon, President and Vice Chancellor, University of Calgary, and Mr. Mark Breadner, Executive Director, FIRST Robotics CANADA.  The three distinguished visitors chatted with our students and Mike Evele (RoboDawg Founder and one of our two head coaches) about our program and this year’s robots.  Mr. Heyman was particularly interested in the breadth of our program and Grandville’s Robotics Varsity letter requirements.
